What I wish to write?
I have a passion for writing and I aspire to write more than I currently do. However, I have a preference for non-fiction rather than fiction. I believe that there are countless real-life stories waiting to be told, given that there are nearly eight billion people alive today. Fiction, by definition, involves imagination, but I find more value in reflecting my beliefs and way of thinking through real-life situations that have shaped me.
In my writing, I aim to present my ideas and thoughts by justifying them from my perspective. I understand that my conclusions may be flawed or incomplete, as I might lack certain details or have a flawed understanding of certain scenarios. Nevertheless, I believe it is important to express my standpoint and argue my case effectively. If I can accomplish that and communicate my arguments convincingly through my writing, it is satisfactory for me.
I acknowledge that nobody is right all the time. I am open to accepting my mistakes and correcting myself. However, until proven wrong with facts, I will hold onto my beliefs, as they serve as my driving force. Through my writings, I hope to revisit and reassess myself years from now, gaining a fresh understanding of who I once was.
For instance, as a teenager, I held certain beliefs that have since changed as I matured. With my current understanding, I refrain from passing judgment on teenagers going through similar phases. I hope that my writings can help me empathize with and understand the standpoint of the teenagers I interact with, fostering fruitful relationships.
